Hi! I’m Anna Lorenzon. I’ve been making pottery in my free time for 7 years now — when I was starting out, making pottery was one of my favorite ways to de-stress and get my creative juices flowing.
I first started throwing pottery when my neighbor’s grandmother, Dorothy, brought me to her studio and introduced me to working with clay. But when she passed away five years ago from breast cancer, pottery became my way to remember her.
Ever since Dorothy’s death, I’ve created pottery in her memory. Now that I have gotten better at it, I am using this skill as one of the ways to support medical research in her memory.
I chose the Doctors Without Borders foundation to support medical research around the world because it was Dorothy’s favorite foundation. You can read more about them at https://www.doctorswithoutborders.org/what-we-do/research
If you would like to purchase a piece and support my cause, please contact me at potterylorenzon@gmail.com. Note that you pay as much as you wish for each piece, and that I will donate all proceeds from the sale of the pieces.
Thanks!
